Get a jump on spring break at Windward Mall, where Project DisFUNKshion will greet shoppers all day Saturday with entertainment, dance crews, contests and, of course, the latest in spring fashion, including a youth-oriented fashion show Saturday night.

DISfunkshion magazine's Hugette Montesinos is doing the styling for the 5 to 7 p.m. fashion show, featuring apparel from Celebrity Tuxedo, Jeans Warehouse, Spencers, Macy's, Wet Seal, Get Wet!, Hot Topic, T&C Surf, Local Motion, No Fear Hawaii, Sindication and Urban Flava.

(Note the slightly different spellings of DISfunkshion, based on an early relationship to Kutmaster Spaz's Dis-N-Dat media group, and DisFUNKshion, with the mall's emphasis.)

To get the crowd fired up for the show, 24VII Danceforce, Unique Style Breakers & ABC Breakers, and Waikiki Breakers will also take the stage, with some of the dancers clad in merchants' spring apparel, as well.

On Saturday and Sunday, shoppers can get a Project DisFUNKshion discount good for 20 percent off a single, regular-priced item at participating retailers. Passes will be available at Center Court on Saturday, while supplies last.

More highlights:

» 1 to 4 p.m.: Score an autograph from the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans. The first 100 fans in line will receive a free No Fear T-shirt. Fans can also mix and mingle with other UFC fighters and VIP celebrities, including Kendall Grove and Egan Inoue.

» 7 to 8:30 p.m.: The inaugural Inked Up Tattoo Contest & Art Show will help determine just who has the best tattoos in town. Step up to win prizes in categories such as Best Oriental/Asian Tattoo, Best Traditional American Tattoo, Best Polynesian Tattoo, Best Black and Gray Tattoo, Best Color Tattoo and Best Overall Tattoo.
