Male suspect wanted in stabbing
Big Island police are seeking the public's help in locating a suspect in a robbery and stabbing on Saddle Road on Sunday.
A woman told officers that a male approached her while she was parked near the 52-mile marker at 8:15 a.m. and demanded her keys and wallet. When she refused, he stabbed her and fled toward Hilo in a gray Toyota pickup.
The suspect is described as in his late 40s, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 220 pounds and bald. He was wearing a red T-shirt and blue jeans shorts.

Pregnant woman beaten and choked
Police arrested an 18-year-old man Monday for allegedly hitting a pregnant woman in the stomach.
Police said the man got into a heated argument at about 9:15 p.m. Sunday with a 21-year-old woman, who is eight months' pregnant.
He also bit her face and choked her, police said.
Police found the suspect at his Kaiko Street home and arrested him for investigation of abuse of a household member.
