Marine accused of Waikiki assault

Police arrested a 24-year-old Kaneohe Marine yesterday for allegedly assaulting a 28-year-old man in Waikiki in November.

Police said the man allegedly punched the victim in the face, breaking his nose and causing him to lose consciousness. He was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault.

He was released pending further investigation.

 

Man arrested in sex assault case

Police arrested a 66-year-old Waianae man for allegedly sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl in December.

Police said the girl reported the man allegedly sexually assaulted her at 1 p.m. Dec. 21 in Maili.

The man was arrested yesterday morning for investigation of third-degree sexual assault. He was released pending further investigation.

 

Hunt on for pair of Big Isle burglars

Hawaii County police are looking for a man and a woman in connection with a March 3 burglary in Kailua-Kona.

The suspects broke into a house on Ahulani Street and removed two Vizio flat-screen televisions with a combined value of more than $1,000. Witnesses described the woman as about 25 to 30 years old, with dark hair.
