Design a logo to celebrate East-West Center's 50 years

The East-West Center turns 50 next year and would like to mark the occasion, literally, with a special logo.

The center is taking suggestions for the design, which will be used on materials and to distinguish activities throughout the anniversary year, including an international conference in Honolulu in July 2010.

The logo should be simple, communicating the center's mission of building a peaceful, prosperous Asia-Pacific community. It may be used in conjunction with the center's established red logo.

Rough sketches are welcome. Ideas and concepts from the submissions will be used to create a final design.

The deadline is March 31.

Mail designs to EWC50, East-West Center, 1601 East-West Road, Honolulu 96848; e-mail .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address); or fax 944-7376.
