Aiea opens baseball season with doubleheader sweep

Brennan Alejo went 3-for-3 with a two-run homer and three runs scored to lead Aiea over host Kapolei 17-4 in the first game of a season-opening Oahu Interscholastic Association Red West doubleheader yesterday.
The game ended on the 10-run mercy rule.
In the second game, Aiea pitcher Kamalu Kamoku held Kapolei to two runs on five hits to earn a 4-2 win and finish the sweep.

The Surfriders used a five-run fourth inning to pull away from the Cougars 15-6 in the first game of a doubleheader.

Dillon Matsuda pitched a two-hit shutout as the Falcons dismantled the Rough Riders 15-0 in the opener.
Kalani scored quickly in game two, with Cal Sumida going 2-4 with a double and two RBIs to lead the Falcons to a 6-4 win.
