Oklahoma rockers The All-American Rejects return to Honolulu this week for a pair of what will likely be sold out shows at Pipeline Cafe.

No tickets remain for Friday's concert, while a limited number were available for Saturday when HILife went to press, according to a spokesperson for promoter BAMP Project. The second date was added after tickets for the initial concert quickly sold out.

Three years have passed since the pop-rock quartet last visited Oahu. Following a sold-out concert in January 2006, they returned for two more nights in August of that year. Guitarist Nick Wheeler told the Star-Bulletin at the time that being in the band was “;definitely becoming a job,”; with “;a lot of 14-hour flights and a lot of interviews,”; but said it was “;a good problem to have.”;

The hard work paid off, with the Rejects' self-titled 2002 album selling more than a million copies and 2005's “;Move Along”; selling more than two million copies so far. “;When the World Comes Down”; was released last year and its lead single, “;Gives You Hell,”; continues to enjoy success on the Billboard charts.

According to Billboard.com, the track peaked at the second position on both the Hot Digital Songs and Pop 100 charts. It has also ranked as high as number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100.

“;If the world ended, I'd want to be listening to our record,”; lead singer Tyson Ritter told Rolling Stone last year when the album was released. “;We craft our songs, not rush them.”;

The All-American Rejects return to the continental U.S. after this weekend's concerts for a bit of rest before heading to Florida to help MTV record the cable network's annual spring break programming. They'll appear on “;Rock the Deuce,”; which will air from March 23 to 26 on MTV2. Next month, they'll play shows in Arizona and New Mexico before returning to their home state on April 7, followed by additional concerts in Missouri, Wisconsin and Illinois.

Opening both Honolulu shows is The Color Fred, featuring former Taking Back Sunday co-vocalist and guitarist Fred Mascherino. Doors open at Pipeline at 6 p.m.
