Obama items up for bid at HOOPLA

Bid on the apple-embellished dishes that President Barack Obama used as a child at HOOPLA, La Pietra-Hawaii School for Girls' annual fundraiser on March 14.
An Obama family dinnerware setting is among the items that will put up for bid beginning at 5:30 p.m. on the school grounds, to benefit the school's financial aid fund.
Obama also provided signed copies of his books — “;Dreams from My Father,”; “;Hopes and Dreams: The Story of Barack Obama”; and “;The Audacity of Hope”; — for the auction.
Other items available include a handmade hen house complete with a couple of egg-laying hens, a special-edition 2004 TXII London Taxi hand-built in Coventry, England, by master craftsmen. The taxi is a left-handed automatic with leather seats, premium English Wilton carpets and a vibrant “;Hawaii Blue”; exterior.
