Trumpeter Chris Botti headlines Saturday's benefit event celebrating the grand reopening of the Royal Hawaiian Resort.
The event, from 6 p.m. to midnight, benefits the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific's Louis Vuitton Creative Arts Program and features paintings by 30 art therapy patients, using the image of the Royal as their theme.
Performing along with Botti will be Makana, Ginai, the Ka'ala Boys and Bill Tapia, who performed at the original opening of the resort in 1927.
Tickets are $350, $5,000 for a beachfront cabana for four, $10,000 for a table for 10 and $50,000 for a private party for 50 in the King Kamehameha suite. Call 566-3451.
