Maryknoll boys stay alive in ILH
Tyler Terai scored 26 points as the Spartans eliminated the Monarchs from the Interscholastic League of Honolulu playoffs with a 62-37 win.
The game was tied 20-20 at the end of the first half when Maryknoll outscored Damien 23-5 in the third quarter behind Terai's 10 points.
Lonn Iwashita scored 14 points to lead Damien in the loss.
UH's Perez in ninth at Fresno tourney
Hawaii golfer Caroline Perez is in ninth place after two rounds of the Fresno State Lexus Classic in Fresno.
Perez shot a pair of 73s to sit nine shots off leader Miki Ueoka of Santa Clara.
The Rainbow Wahine are in 11th place, 29 strokes away from first-place San Francisco heading into today's third round.
Hawaii beats Cal State Northridge
Hawaii beat Cal State Northridge 5-2 in women's tennis yesterday.
Sophie Kobuch led the way for the Rainbow Wahine with victories in singles and doubles.
UH sailors finish fourth in Florida
The Hawaii women's sailing team took a first-day lead at the South Florida Intersectional, but fell to a fourth-place finish on Sunday.
Hanna Tuson-Turner, Tahnee Allman led the way in the A Division for the Rainbow Wahine.

Seasiders extend string to 18
The Brigham Young-Hawaii men's basketball team won its 18th straight game last night, dispatching Grand Canyon 86-71 in Phoenix.
Trenson Akana led the Seasiders (21-1, 11-0) with 15 points. David Cuen scored 20 for the Antelopes (13-12, 5-6).
BYUH returns home to face Chaminade on Friday in Laie.
» The BYUH women's team scored the last eight points of the game to beat Grand Canyon 75-68 in the early game.
The Seasiders (12-11, 6-5) denied the Antelopes (16-9, 9-2) a chance to clinch the conference title.
