The Farrington girls basketball squad managed to overtake Roosevelt for the second time in three days to claim the Oahu Interscholastic Association Red championship.

The Governors closed out the game with a 23-9 fourth quarter and went 11-for-12 from the free-throw line as part of a 22-for-24 effort for the night.

Farrington will get the OIA's seed in this week's Division I state tournament. Roosevelt gets an at-large berth.

Natalie Mata scored a game-high 17 points for the Govs, followed by Brydgette Tatupu-Leopoldo's 15 points.

The Warriors pounded the Monarchs, as Kamehameha leading scorers Pii Minns (23 points) and Shane Matayoshi (17) combined for more points than the entire Damien squad.
