Pepper rides 'Good Vibrations' from isle to isle to isle
POSTED: Friday, February 20, 2009
IT'S NICE to see the guys from Pepper coming back to Hawaii for more than one day.
The last time Honolulu residents got to see Bret Bollinger, Kaleo Wassman and Yesod Williams was in 2006, when they were here less than 12 hours to open for 311 at the Waikiki Shell. In 2004, the Big Island boys spent about a day on Oahu to perform at the inaugural Band Camp.
This year, they'll spend a full weekend here in support of their latest album, “;Pink Crustaceans and Good Vibrations,”; with a three-island tour and an exclusive, winners-only VIP performance at the Roadrunner Music Hall (visit www.thehall.tv for info). The fun starts Friday at the Lahaina Civic Center, followed by a Saturday show at Pipeline Cafe and a Sunday gig at the Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall.
Doors open at 6 p.m. Saturday at Pipeline, with tickets priced at $30 and $60 at the door for those 18 and over. The Alliez will accompany Pepper from Maui to serve as the night's opening act. Stick around afterward for live sets by Phoenix Rose, Stillborn Skies, 82Fifty and friends ...

Doors open at 7 p.m. Friday for “;Mutt-iny Night,”; and Pascua and co-promoter Jade Medeiros ask that all dogs be sociable and on a leash or in a carrier at all times. Tickets are $20 at the door, with $15 pre-sale tickets available at Bark Avenue in Hawaii Kai. Call 386-3823 ...
