Wahine track team performs well

The University of Hawaii women's track team had a strong outing at the Northern Arizona Classic yesterday in Flagstaff, Ariz.

The team won two events while posting eight seasonal and six personal bests.

Amber Kaufman took the top spot of a Rainbow Wahine sweep in the high jump, while Annett Wichman placed first in the shot put and third in the long jump.

 

UH softball team beat again

The UH softball team lost to Oregon 3-2 at the Louisville Slugger Desert Classic yesterday in Henderson, Nev.

With the Wahine up 2-1, the Ducks posted two runs in the sixth inning to earn the victory.

Vulcans take baseball game

The UH-Hilo baseball team picked up another win against non-conference opponent George Fox, taking the game 11-7 yesterday at Francis Wong Stadium in Hilo.

The Vulcans posted 14 hits, including three each from Gary Jones and Matt Haasenritter.

The win gives UH-Hilo a 2-1 record for the series.

 

Sea Warriors down Seasiders in softball

Hawaii Pacific dominated Brigham Young-Hawaii 2-0 and 9-1 in a doubleheader yesterday in Kaneohe.

The Seasiders scored first in game two, only to stumble thereafter and lose by way of the mercy rule.

 

'Swords tennis team wins again

The Chaminade women's tennis team enjoyed a 9-0 sweep of Colorado State-Pueblo yesterday in Phoenix to end their road trip at 4-1.

The Swords, who finished on a three game win streak, will face second-ranked BYU-Hawaii Thursday in Laie.
