Police are looking for four males wanted for robbing a convenience store on Campbell Avenue in Kapahulu last month.

At about 9:30 p.m. Jan. 28, the four suspects entered the Campbell Stop and Shop on 3368 Campbell Ave. and attempted to purchase several cases of beer.

Police said when the cashier asked for identification, the suspects became agitated and attempted to flee with the beer.

The owner and the cashier tried to stop the suspects. One of them allegedly punched the cashier in the face, police said. The beer was dropped all over the store as the four fled.

The four were last seen getting into a gray or silver four-door Kia heading north on Catherine Street.

“;We do have a lot of what we call 'beer runs,'”; said Sgt. Kim Buffett of Honolulu CrimeStoppers. “;These owners are just trying to protect their property, and then they get injured.”;

Police obtained surveillance footage of the suspects in the store and have descriptions for three of them:

» One was about 18 to 20 years old, 6 feet tall and about 200 to 220 pounds. He had black hair in a ponytail and was seen wearing a blue T-shirt, white pants, large stud earrings in both ears and sneakers.

» A second suspect was about 18 to 20 years old, about 5 feet 4 inches tall, 120 to 140 pounds, with black crew-cut hair. He had brown eyes and a white T-shirt, black shorts and white sneakers.

» A third suspect was described as in his 20s, between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall, about 160 to 180 pounds. He was wearing no shirt, green printed shorts and a bandanna.
