Narcissus Queen's talent lands her on TV
Narcissus Festival Queen Lisa Wai Hah Wong will be a guest on “;Ellen”; today, demonstrating the speed-painting talent that won her the crown.
Wong's segment with host Ellen DeGeneres was taped yesterday in Los Angeles and airs at 3 p.m. today on KITV-ABC.
A spokeswoman for the local pageant said Wong came to the attention of the show through a video of her performance that was originally broadcast on KHON-TV and is now getting attention on the Internet.
At the Jan. 10 pageant, Wong performed a piece called “;Enter the Flower,”; involving a combination of kung-fu dance and painting, in which a series of seemingly unrelated brush strokes came together to reveal a portrait of Bruce Lee.
Wong, 26, presided over the recent Narcissus Festival celebrating Chinese New Year.
