The Roots Rhythm Foundation, a newly formed nonprofit organization with plans for music education programs in local elementary schools, joins forces with Tiki's Grill and Bar to raise money next week.

From 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, the Nocturnal Sound Krew's DJ Jami (pictured) will be joined by Freesound for an early evening of music, with $2 tacos, $3 drink specials, a Hurley fashion show and prize giveaways all night. Donations will be accepted at the door.

After nearly a year away from Honolulu, opening various “;Acid Wash '80s”; parties in other parts of the country, DJ Vegas Mike returns to the islands to co-host the third annual Valentine's Day prom at The Loft.

Vegas Mike will be joined by “;Totally '80s”; resident DJs Nocturna, G-Spot and Quiksilva, and the night will also serve as the debut for new resident DJ Rick Rock. As always, cover is absolutely free, with $3 drinks and sushi specials until midnight.
