Jonathan Fukumoto and Cory Nakagawa scored goals to lead Mililani past Kapolei 2-0 for the Oahu Interscholastic Association Red Conference boys soccer championship last night at Roosevelt's Ticky Vasconcellos Stadium.

The Trojans will get the OIA's seed at the upcoming Division I state tournament.

Moanalua got two goals from David Ogata to defeat Kaiser 2-1 in the OIA Red's third-place game.

Izumi Kuwabara had the lone goal for the Cougars.

In the Red fifth-place game, Victor DeMarco had the lone goal to lead Kalaheo past Roosevelt 1-0.

Waialua locked up the OIA White Conference championship with a 1-0 victory over Kailua.

The Bulldogs will be the OIA's seed in Division II at states.

Kainoa Rosa scored the game-winning goal.

Pearl City, Campbell rise

The Pearl City boys and Campbell girls captured OIA West wrestling championships yesterday at Pearl City.

The Chargers scored 198.5 points to finish well ahead of the Sabers (171) in the boys competition. Kapolei was third, followed by Aiea in fourth.

Pearl City's Christopher-Michael Kakazu (140 pounds), Raynald Cooper (152), Bill Takeuchi (125) and Lindsey Ornellas (145) won their weight classes.

The Sabers scored 159 points to take the girls competition. The Chargers (138) were second, followed by Radford (68) and Kapolei (51).

Campbell's Rachel Factora (130 pounds), Anjelica Arevalo (155), Kailin Curran (114), Alexandra Arevalo (140) and Chabrielle Gushi (175) won their weight classes.

Kahuku, Kaiser triumph

Kahuku cruised to a win in OIA East girls wrestling championships yesterday at Farrington.

The Red Raiders scored 133 points, far ahead of second place Castle (76). Moanalua (68) finished third, followed by Farrington (55).

Kahuku's Darian Auna (98 pounds), Kalae Johnson (108), Libby Petrie (220), Andrina Ramos (103) and Kehau Kamakaala (114) won their weight classes.

In the OIA East boys championships, Kaiser rolled to victory with 213.5 points. Farrington (144) was second, followed by Kahuku (143) and Moanalua (112).

Kaiser's Michael Nakagawa (120 pounds), Blake Ling (130), Douglas Paahao (215), Byron Apo (135), Jesse Kauhola (145) and Kekoa Kim (189) won their weight classes.

Buffanblu swimmers sweep

Punahou swept the Interscholastic League of Honolulu Swimming and Diving Championships yesterday at 'Iolani.

The Buffanblu earned 100 points in the girls competition to easily beat second place 'Iolani (46). Pac-Five (38) was third, followed by Kamehameha (30).

In the boys event, the Buffanblu (93) bested second place 'Iolani (68). Kamehameha (39) was third, followed by Pac-Five (16) and Island Pacific (8).

Trojans capture OIA crowns

Mililani won the boys and girls titles at the OIA Swimming Championships at Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center.

The Trojans scored 266 points in the girls event to finish way ahead of second place Kapolei (189). Kaiser (160) was third, followed by Roosevelt (136) and Leilehua (98).

In the boys competition, Mililani (215) edged second place Kaiser (199). Kalani (139) placed third, followed by Moanalua (131) and Kapolei (126).
