National Board Certification earned by 41 Hawaii teachers
Forty-one teachers recently received National Board Certification, according to the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board. The identity of two from Kamehameha Schools is being kept private. The 39 newly certified public school teachers include:
Mary Ann Akamine, Kaimuki High School; Shelly Andrews, Kimberly Glassco and Garrett Arakawa, Kailua High School; Merry Blechta, Keaau Elementary School; Marilou Bulagay, Traci Takehara, Lori-Ann Takiguchi and Mae Masuda-Kop, Salt Lake Elementary School; Catherine Caine, Charmaine Melchor and Nannette Ganotisi, Waikiki Elementary School; Colleen Carson, Kaneohe Elementary School; Evangeline Casinas, Arnold Martinez and Natalie Immings, Moanalua High School; Shelly Ciano and Alexis Van Gorder, Lanikai Elementary Public Charter School; Scott Clarke, Janet Sato and Cecelia Romero, Baldwin High School; Erica Colon, Waialua High & Intermediate School; Selena Greenland, Pearl City Highlands Elementary School.
