Shakespearean scholar Peter Saccio holds a free lecture, “;Going to War with Shakespeare,”; at 7 p.m. next Wednesday at 'Iolani School.

Saccio, the Leon D. Black Professor of Shakespearean Studies at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, is serving a two-week teaching residency at the school.

An actor and director, Saccio has directed productions of “;Twelfth Night,”; “;Macbeth”; and “;Cymbeline”; and has appeared in the Shakespearean roles of Casca, Angelo, Bassanio and Henry IV.

He is the author of “;Shakespeare's English Kings”; and edited Thomas Middleton's comedy “;A Mad World, My Masters”; for the Oxford Complete Works of Thomas Middleton.
