Suspect sought after 3 stabbings

Honolulu police are looking for a suspect who stabbed three people early yesterday, leaving one in critical condition and another in serious condition.

The stabbing occurred at 1680 Kapiolani Blvd. in a parking lot located near Club Femme Nu, according to Bryan Cheplic, spokesman for Honolulu Emergency Services.

The stabbing happened at about 12:50 a.m., according to police.

Two of the three victims were taken to a hospital. A 33-year-old man was in critical condition, and a 32-year-old man was in serious condition. The third victim, a 30-year-old man, refused treatment at the scene.

Woman arrested after stabbing

Police arrested a 51-year-old Makiki woman for attempted murder early yesterday morning after she allegedly stabbed a 53-year-old man at a Lunalilo Street home.

Police said the stabbing occurred at about 3:10 a.m. during a domestic argument, and the woman was arrested at the scene.

Kaneohe house fire displaces family

Fire destroyed a house in Kaneohe yesterday, leaving a family of five homeless, officials said.

Fire Capt. Earle Kealoha said the blaze broke out around 4 p.m. at 45-137 Mahalani Place.

No one was home at the time, but two dogs are believed to have died in the fire, Kealoha said.

The Red Cross was called to assist the family with food, clothing and bedding.

No cause or estimated of damage was readily available.

Man arrested for raping girl, 4

Police arrested a 35-year-old Waipahu man yesterday for allegedly raping a 4-year-old girl.

Officers arrested the man after the toddler said he raped her at about 2 p.m. last Monday. The man was arrested on suspicion of first-degree rape.

Further details were not available.

Motorcyclist, 57, dies from injuries

A 57-year-old man critically injured in a Jan. 10 motorcycle crash at the entrance to Barbers Point harbor died just before 3 a.m. Saturday, police said.

The man, identified as Stanley Lambert, was driving a silver Harley-Davidson and lost control while turning left onto Malakole Street from the harbor.

The motorcycle went off the road and struck a concrete piling, throwing Lambert off the motorcycle.

Police said the victim was not wearing a helmet and suffered severe head trauma.

Motorcycle crash kills Maui man, 44

A 44-year-old man who was in a motorcycle crash on Maui on Thursday has died, Maui County police said yesterday.

The victim was identified as Robert Aviles of Kula.

He was in a crash on Omaopio Road, the county said.

His was the second traffic fatality for Maui in 2009, compared with one at the same time last year.
