Man, teen arrested in robbery of boy
Police arrested a 20-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy who allegedly robbed a 12-year-old boy in Pearl City yesterday.
At about 3:15 p.m., the victim was walking along Waimano Home Road when he was approached by the suspects, police said.
The teenager allegedly brandished a tire iron and robbed the victim of his backpack and sweater while the man stood by.
Police said the two fled in a vehicle, but were later identified by the suspect and arrested on suspicion of first-degree robbery. They were released later pending further investigation.

Pedestrian struck by truck identified
Big Island police identified a pedestrian who died from injuries sustained when he was struck Wednesday by a pickup truck in Puna as Carlos Caraballo, 51, of Pahoa.
Caraballo stepped off a Hele-On bus stopped on the makai side of the roadway, walked in front of the bus out into the highway and was struck by a 1992 Nissan, police said.
The crash occurred shortly before 11:49 a.m. Wednesday at Route 130 and Shower Street.
The pedestrian then hit the front end of a 2006 Mini Cooper, which was stopped in a left-turn lane on Route 130, police said.
Neither the driver of the pickup truck, a 43-year-old Pahoa man, nor the Mini Cooper driver, a Ninole woman, 60, were injured.
Fire rescue personnel took Caraballo to the Hilo Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 12:33 p.m.
Police have initiated a negligent-homicide investigation.

Man hit, bound, robbed in Kalihi
A 25-year-old man was robbed in Kalihi last night by someone who snuck up behind him and hit him in the back of the head, police said.
The victim told police he was at his Kalihi Valley home in the 1500 block of Kilohana Street when he was attacked. Police said the suspect threw a blanket over the victim's head, bound his hands with wire, then took his car keys and stole his car.
Police did not have a description of the suspect but are investigating the case as first-degree robbery.
Man allegedly uses pipe on boy's hand
Police arrested a 22-year-old man after he allegedly hit a teenager with a pipe.
Police said that at about 10 p.m. Wednesday, the suspect was fighting in Kalihi with another male, whose age was not disclosed. When the 16-year-old brother of the second male intervened, the suspect hit the boy's hand with a pipe, police said.
Police arrested the suspect on suspicion of second-degree assault. The boy suffered only minor injuries, police said.
Spurned man, 28, bashes head in car
Police arrested a 28-year-old man who allegedly abused his ex-girlfriend and smashed the windshield of her car with his head.
The suspect and the 34-year-old victim ended their relationship about a year ago, police said.
At about 7 p.m. Wednesday, while the woman was stopped in traffic in Wahiawa, the suspect allegedly forced his way into her vehicle and physically abused her.
Police said the suspect became so upset, he bashed his head against the woman's windshield, shattering it. The woman was then allegedly forced to drive for several blocks until she escaped and called for help.
Police arrested the suspect on suspicion of kidnapping, unauthorized entry into a vehicle, felony abuse and fourth-degree criminal property damage.
