  An large ironwood tree from an undeveloped private lot fell on a Mililani property in the morning, leaning up against power lines. A Hawaiian Electric Co. crew helped cut away the tree, and power was not affected, said HECO spokesman Darren Pai.

There were two power failures during the day, affecting 370 customers in Hawaii Kai and 100 customers in Kunia. Power was soon restored in both areas.

“;It was pretty quiet,”; Pai said in the afternoon, adding, “;We are continuing to keep an eye on the weather.”;

From Thursday night through yesterday afternoon, Honolulu firefighters responded to 15 weather-related calls, including 10 damaged roofs, two reports of arcing wires and three downed trees. In Waimanalo yesterday, a roof was damaged by wind on Poliala Street at about 9:30 a.m. Firefighters removed debris and nailed down roofing paper to patch the hole, said fire Capt. Terry Seelig.
