SBS Open pre-qualifier set

A pre-qualifier for women amateurs shooting for a spot in the LPGA SBS Open at Turtle Bay has been set for Sunday, Feb. 8 at the Turtle Bay Resort's George Fazio Course.

The Monday qualifier will be held on Feb. 9 at the Turtle Bay's Arnold Palmer Course. The LPGA allows two amateurs to enter a Monday qualifier for any of its full-field, non-major events. The rest of the Monday qualifier field is made up of non-exempt tour players.

The SBS Open is the LPGA's first full-field event of the season and will be played Feb. 12-14 at Turtle Bay's Arnold Palmer Course. Past champions include Jennifer Rosales, Paula Creamer, and 2008 champion Annika Sorenstam.

The entry fee for the pre-qualifier is $75 with all proceeds benefiting the North Shore Youth Athletic Foundation.
