Rainbow Wahine fall at Fresno State
The Hawaii women's basketball team lost to Fresno State in its Western Athletic Conference season opener last night, 78-50, at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif.

Megan Tinnin scored a team-high 10 points for the Wahine (3-11, 0-1 WAC). Dita Liepkalne added nine points, seven rebounds and seven assists.
Hawaii committed 25 turnovers against the defending WAC champions, who attempted 41 3-pointers (a UH opponent record) and made 14. Ashley Walker led the Bulldogs (11-4, 1-0) with 13 points off the bench. Three other FSU players scored in double figures.
The Wahine continue their three-game road trip at San Jose State tomorrow at 5 p.m. Hawaii time.
