Hamilton a runner-up in Australia
Hawaii's Bethany Hamilton surfed all the way to the final of the Billabong ASP World Junior Championships surf contest before losing to Pauline Ado of France, 13.43 to 12.47 yesterday at North Narabeen, Australia.
The contest featured the world's top junior (20 and under) surfers.

Kimitete, Vulcans roll past Seasiders
Hina Kimitete set a school record with six 3-pointers to lead Hawaii-Hilo to a 60-50 victory over Brigham Young-Hawaii in women's basketball in Laie.
The Vulcans improved to 5-3 overall and 1-1 in the PacWest with the win. The Seasiders (4-5, 0-1) were led by Latoya Wily, who had 22 points.
» Tanaia Keyes scored 24 points to lead Notre Dame de Namur to a 74-52 victory over Chaminade in women's basketball last night at Belmont, Calif.
Jasmine Dulan led the Silverswords (0-10, 0-2 PacWest) with 19 points. Chaminade led at halftime, 37-30.
The Argonauts improved to 4-9 and 1-1.
