Makuakane kicks off concert series

Kenneth Makuakane kicks off this year's concert series at the Ala Moana Hotel's Pakele Lounge tomorrow night.

It'll also be a CD release party for Makuakane's new album, “;The White Bathtub.”; The prolific Hawaiian music singer-songwriter will be joined on stage by Walt Keale, Obrian Eselu and Barry Flanagan

“;Pakele Live!,”; besides being a showcase concert series, also is streamed live on the Internet at www.PakeleLive.com, and airs on Oceanic Time Warner Cable's OC16 channel.

The concert runs from 6 to 8 p.m. Admission is free. A full menu of cocktails and pupus will be sold.
