NORTH SHORE
4 sought in robbery during card game
Police are looking for four suspects who allegedly robbed a group of people playing cards in a Whitmore Village home.
At about 11 p.m. Friday, three masked men walked up to the Ehoeho Avenue home's garage where a 22-year-old woman and other victims were playing cards, police said.
One of the men took out a revolver and fired a shot into the air, police said. He allegedly took cash from the table and stole the woman's purse.
The other two robbers grabbed cash from two more card tables, police said. All three men escaped in a light blue, four-door Toyota Camry, driven by a fourth suspect.
Police said the woman was the only person from the card group to report the crime.
Robber allegedly holds up family
Police are looking for a robber who allegedly held up a Waialua family at gunpoint in the carport of their home on Friday.
Police said at about 8:45 p.m., five family members returned to their Peahi Street home in Otake Camp. Before they could get out of the car, the robber pointed a pistol at the driver through the window of the car and demanded money, police said.
The driver, a 45-year-old woman, gave $200 in cash to the suspect, who fled on foot, police said.
