New Year's party first for waterpark

Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park is hosting its first New Year's Eve Party today, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Guests can enjoy the 20 wild rides and attractions, entertainment by City Side, games, a dance zone from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Hurricane Bay Wave Pool featuring United Deejays, prize giveaways by Power 104.3 FM's DJ Romeo and Krater 96 FM's Wayne Maria, and a chance to win a new car.

The highlight will be the fireworks display at 7 p.m. by pyrotechnic artist Grucci.

Admission at the Kapolei park is $37.99 for adults and $27.99 for children. A special New Year's Eve price of $28, adults, and $26, children, is available at www.HawaiianWaters.com or any military ticket outlet. Annual pass holders are welcome for free.
