Attempted murder suspect caught
Police captured an attempted murder suspect wanted on a $1 million warrant in Waipahu last night.
Bronson Gouveia had been out on bail after being charged with attempted second-degree murder for allegedly firing shots at his girlfriend's former boyfriend in August in Kunia.
He was also charged with drug offenses at the time.
Man hospitalized after stabbing
Police arrested yesterday a 32-year-old Honolulu man who allegedly stabbed another man in the neck Monday night.
The victim, a 31-year-old Honolulu man, was taken to the Queen's Medical Center in critical condition, police said.
Officers responding to a report of an argument on Moanalualani Place near Kaiser Permanente at Red Hill found the victim inside his vehicle. The suspect was found nearby. No charges have been filed.

Injured hiker airlifted to safety
A fire rescue crew airlifted a woman in her 60s who was injured while hiking on the Maunawili Falls Trail yesterday at about 12:50 p.m.
The woman slipped and fell, injuring her ankle and leaving her unable to walk, said fire Capt. Terry Seelig. The fire department helicopter took her to a waiting ambulance for transport to the hospital.
