Bankoh exec joins Hawaiian Air

Hawaiian Airlines named Brian Stewart as vice president of accounting and controller. His experience includes being executive vice president and controller at Bank of Hawaii, vice president and controller for Pacific Century Bank and Frontier State Bank in California and senior accountant at KPMG Peat Marwick in Los Angeles.

Hawaiian Building Maintenance promoted Karl H. Fujii to executive vice president from vice president and chief financial officer. He joined the company in 1998 as comptroller and director of business development and is a certified public accountant.

  Zippy's is providing collection canisters for Help, Understanding & Group Support at all of its takeout counters statewide through Dec. 31. HUGS is a nonprofit organization which is currently providing support for 176 families with seriously ill children.

The University of Hawaii at Manoa College of Education Laboratory School received a $700 donation from Jeffrey Baker, IT Program Manager for Microsoft. Baker also reserved 120 Microsoft Office licenses for the school. The retail value of the donation is estimated at $50,000.
