Morton's sports special filet mignon meal

The Morton's steakhouse chain celebrates 30 years in business, and the Ala Moana location is offering an anniversary menu through Dec. 28.

The meal includes salad; filet mignon; choice of Broiled Sea Scallops, Colossal Shrimp Alexander or Jumbo Lump Crab Cake; and dessert of Hot Chocolate Cake or Key Lime Pie. Cost is $54.50.

Also as part of the celebration, free minicheeseburgers will be offered from 5 to 6 p.m. Dec. 21, the exact anniversary day, to commemorate the burger first served by chef Klaus Fritsch to Arnie Morton. Morton reportedly was so impressed by the burger that he was inspired to launch the partnership with Fritsch that became Morton's.
