Hawaii lost its regular-season finale against Cincinnati Saturday, but the electricity at Aloha Stadium helped the Warriors land a junior college lineman.

Zach Masch, an incoming junior from Arizona Western College, committed to Hawaii after visiting the campus and attending the game against the Bearcats.

“;It was the family atmosphere with the players and the fans at the game were great,”; Masch said.

Masch (6-foot-3, 285 pounds) played defensive tackle for Arizona Western and said he will enroll in school for the spring semester.

He said he canceled a scheduled visit to Louisiana-Lafayette after committing to the Warriors.
