Dis-N-Dat Media and Mr. Setts present a new local hip-hop showcase every first Friday at Coconut Willy's.

The inaugural edition of “;Friday Night Flare”; will feature live performances by I.A., HI Tribe, The Investors, 808 Breakers and ABC Breakers. A $100 open microphone MC battle is also planned. Doors open at 8 p.m. Friday with no cover charge all night, and everyone in attendance has a chance to be featured in a TV show pilot that will be filming inside the club.

Beatport.com co-founder DJ Wyatt Earp (pictured) arrives in Honolulu to headline a special edition of “;Swagger”; at the Living Room on Saturday.

Local DJs Willis Haltom and Zane will open the night, which is the second in a series of parties leading up to the 2009 Global Dance Festival, before Earp steps to the decks for a three-hour set of house and techno for the 21-and-over crowd.
