UH to put on winter baseball camps

Coach Mike Trapasso and the Hawaii baseball staff are putting together three Rainbow Baseball winter camps for kids ages 7 through 18 at Les Murakami Stadium.

Morning (9 a.m. to noon) and afternoon (1-4 p.m.) sessions are available Dec. 20-21, 27-28 and 29-30.

The cost is $100 for each 3-hour camp or $80 per camp when attending two or more.

Hunt and Radke in pro/assistant lead

Bill Hunt and Maurice Radke took the first-round lead in the Aloha Section PGA Head Professional/Assistant Professional Championship at Hualalai Golf Club yesterday.

Hunt and Radke shot a 6-under 66 in the four-ball stroke-play event for a two-shot lead over three teams.

The final round is today.
