Event puts pets in holiday photos

When a pet is part of the family, it stands to reason that the furry friend should be in the holiday family photo. The Hawaiian Humane Society makes that easy at “;Pictures with Santa Paws,”; Saturday and Sunday.

Portrait sittings with a professional photographer run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $25 for a CD of the photos shot, to benefit the society's programs and services for homeless animals.

To give a little more, consider bringing a new pet toy or another item from the society's wish list: bath mats, bird cages, canned kitten food, cat scratching posts or materials, cat treats in unopened packages, nail clippers, dog/cat shampoo, grooming brushes and combs, kitty litter, laundry detergent, newspapers, shoe boxes, shopping bags and clean towels.
