4 teens held after crime spree on Kauai

WAIMEA, Kauai » Four teenagers from the west side of Kauai were detained during the weekend after an alleged monthlong crime spree.
The juveniles, males 14 and 15 years old from Hanapepe, Pakala, and Waimea, were detained for multiple offenses including unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle, second-degree theft and burglary, Kauai police said Monday.
When police conducted the arrests, they recovered an undisclosed amount of cash from crimes committed during the past month at Waimea Plantation Cottages and Waimea High School, county officials added.
They were booked and later released to their parents.
An investigation into the incidents involving these juveniles is continuing, and police ask that anyone with information call CrimeStoppers at 241-1887.
