The elements forced the Hawaii football team to shuffle its routine yesterday but didn't keep the Warriors from getting their work done.

WARRIORS FOOTBALL
Idaho (2-9, 1-6 WAC) at Hawaii (5-5, 4-3), 6:05 p.m. Saturday, TV: Oceanic PPV Ch. 255; Radio: KKEA 1420-AM.

With their practice field drenched by a soggy Manoa morning, the Warriors flipped their schedule by holding practice closer to dusk than dawn.

“;I thought the guys did a good job and we had a good practice—we got a good start on our plan,”; UH coach Greg McMackin said after the 2-hour afternoon session. “;We got everything done that we wanted to do.”;

The Warriors (5-5, 4-3 Western Athletic Conference) were set to move to Aloha Stadium for their first full practice in preparation for Saturday's game against Idaho (2-9, 1-6). But the staff decided to stay on campus when the fields dried out in the afternoon.

They plan to return to their morning schedule today, but will practice at nearby Saint Louis School, which has an artificial surface field.

“;We're not sure of the weather, and we don't want to tear the field up any more,”; McMackin said. “;Plus we play on turf (at Aloha Stadium) so it's good to get some work on turf.”;

The field at the Clarence T.C. Ching Athletic Complex (formerly Cooke Field) will give the Warriors an alternate practice site once installation of the new playing surface is completed.
