COMING UP
Maui Ocean Center collecting seafood recipes
“;Sustainability”; is a big buzz word these days, regarding everything from fuel for our cars to fuel for our bodies.
When it comes to the concept of sustainable seafood, the Maui Ocean Center offers a challenge: Entries are being accepted for dishes that use sustainable or invasive types of seafood - those that are in no danger of overfishing, or that are overpopulating our waters. For examples visit seafoodwatch.org.
Deadline to enter is Saturday. E-mail entries to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or mail to Maui Ocean Center, Attention: Seafood Recipe Contest, 192 Ma'alaea Road, Wailuku 96793.
Twenty winning recipes will be posted on the Maui Ocean Center Web site and passed out to visitors.
