Hula will be the theme of Sunset on the Beach in Waikiki next weekend.
Three Hawaiian musical groups will headline Saturday's event in place of a film, which will be shown on Sunday.
Na Palapalai, Na Leo and Ho'okena will perform in that order on stage, joined by hula dancers from the second annual International Waikiki Hula Conference.
The Sunset event will also be the closing of the conference, held Wednesday through Saturday at the Hawaii Convention Center.
On Sunday, visitors can catch a 2006 subtitled Japanese film called “;Hula Girls,”; about women in a small town who try to revive their fortunes by building a Hawaiian village tourist attraction.
Food booths open at 4 p.m. on both days. Live entertainment starts at 6:30 p.m. Saturday and at 4 p.m. Sunday. Sunday's movie starts at 6:30 p.m.
