Maui's Shane Victorino added another highlight to his big year yesterday, winning a Gold Glove in his first season as the Philadelphia Phillies' center fielder.

The award for defensive excellence, Victorino's first and the first major baseball award won by a player from Hawaii, caps a year that saw the St. Anthony graduate set a team record for RBIs in a postseason (13) as the Phillies won the World Series.

Victorino made only two errors in 323 chances for a .994 fielding average. He threw out seven baserunners.

The NL's other winners were: pitcher Greg Maddux, who won his record 18th while playing for the Padres and Dodgers; catcher Yadier Molina of the Caridnals; first baseman Adrian Gonzalez of the Padres; second baseman Brandon Phillips of the Reds; Mets third baseman David Wright; Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins; and outfielders Nate McLouth of the Pirates and Carlos Beltran of the Mets.
