Attorney General names top employees

The Department of the Attorney General's Manager of the Year is Dorothy Sellers, solicitor general, who oversees the work of the attorneys and legal clerks in the Appellate Division. She led the state's team to reform the governing body and trustee practices of the Kamehameha Schools—one of the nation's largest charitable trusts—and complex legal efforts to seek compensation from asbestos companies.

Lilia Araki, support payment officer of the Child Support Enforcement Agency, is the department's Employee of the Year. For the past eight years, Araki has taken on the additional duties of a staff trainer, teaching the complex KEIKI information system.

The Team of the Year includes employees who produced a training manual called “;Your Identity Is Your Kuleana”; for use by law enforcement organizations, private businesses and federal agencies to combat identity theft. Members include Albert Cook and Kristin Izumi-Nitao, deputy attorneys general; Kristell Corpuz and Angela Kaiwikuamoohooihou, community and crime prevention specialists; Ephriam “;Lono”; Ho, investigator; Robert Jahier, education specialist/computer forensic examiner; Valerie Mariano, chief of the Community and Crime Prevention Branch; Amy Tatsuno, administrative services assistant; and Christopher Young, supervising deputy attorney general, Criminal Justice Division.
