Suspect sought in theft of wallet
Police need help in finding a woman suspected of stealing from a Wahiawa hardware store last month.
At about 2 p.m. Sept. 5, a man made a purchase at Pioneer Ace Hardware in Wahiawa and unknowingly left his wallet on the cashier's counter.
The man returned to the store and was unable to locate his wallet. Police reviewed the video surveillance tape, which showed a woman removing the wallet from the counter and placing it under her shirt. She was last seen leaving the parking lot in a dark green sport utility vehicle.
The woman was described to be in her 20s with black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME on a cell phone.

Theft suspects observed on video
Police arrested two men after they allegedly stole a computer from a Waikiki hotel.
The suspects were guests at the Waikiki Sand Villa Hotel, 2375 Ala Wai Blvd. At about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, they entered a hospitality room and took a Hewlett-Packard desktop computer, including the monitor, keyboard, mouse and central processing unit, police said.
The suspects were seen on surveillance video, police said. Officers got a warrant, searched the suspects' hotel room and found the stolen items. The two men, ages 35 and 37, were arrested on suspicion of second-degree theft.
Man held after attempted robbery
Police arrested a 25-year-old man who allegedly tried to rob another man at a bus stop.
At about 3 a.m. Tuesday, the suspect approached a 29-year-old man sitting at a Waikiki bus stop and asked him for $20, police said. When the victim said he had no money, the suspect allegedly took a fighting stance and made threats.
The suspect then allegedly threw the victim's umbrella to the ground and repeated his demand. The victim walked away and stopped a police officer, who arrested the suspect on suspicion of second-degree robbery. While the suspect was being searched, an officer found a small packet containing a white powdery substance resembling cocaine, police said. He was also arrested on suspicion of third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug.

Road rage leads to driver's arrest
Police arrested a 27-year-old Manoa man who allegedly tried to force his way into someone else's car following a traffic incident Oct. 12.
Police said the suspect was driving a pickup truck in Kalihi and failed to yield to another vehicle. The suspect got out of his truck and yelled at the two people in the other vehicle, a 24-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, police said. They fled and he followed, police said.
At a stoplight the man allegedly tried to enter their vehicle and threatened to assault them, but their doors were locked. The man then fled, police said.
He turned himself in Wednesday and was arrested on suspicion of first-degree attempted unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle.
He was released later pending investigation.
