The Hawaii Foodbank, whose food stock has dwindled amid the economic downturn, will hold a fundraiser on Oct. 26.
The organization's “;Mahaloz Eve Party”; will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at the E&O Trading Company at Ward Centre.
Presale tickets are $35 and $40 at the door. The fee includes pupus, one drink, live entertainment, and a raffle ticket for prizes.
The Foodbank has about 14 days' worth of inventory, less than its desired 30-day supply to pass onto nonprofit agencies around Oahu, Foodbank president Dick Grimm told the Star-Bulletin on Saturday.
The Foodbank serves 250 agencies, including Catholic Charities, which serves 1,300 people a year, about half of them children.
