Exhibit shares Filipino experience
Broadcaster Emme Tomimbang hosts ”;Mabuhay with Aloha: The Hawaii Filipino Experience, 1906-2006,”; Saturday as part of the Hawaii State Library's celebration of Filipino-American History Month.
Tomimbang's documentary will be previewed at 2 p.m. in the first-floor reading room. Admission is free.
“;Mabuhay with Aloha”; includes rare historic photographs and more than 50 interviews recounting 100 years of Filipino life in Hawaii.
The library is also hosting a photo exhibit, “;Singgalot: The Ties that Bind,”; commemorating Filipino immigration to the United States, in the lobby through Oct. 25. Call 586-3499.
