» Taro production in the Solomon Islands and Samoa has been nearly wiped out by a fungus that was to be combated by genetic engineering of Chinese Bun long taro by the University of Hawaii. A Page A3 story Thursday incorrectly said the problem and the genetic engineering involved a virus.
