Hawaii coach Greg McMackin has a rule allowing only 48 hours for the Warriors' just-completed game to linger in the minds of coaches and players.

The rule is still in place, but coming off a landmark overtime win at Fresno State, the Warriors planned to take full advantage of those 48.

“;We're going to enjoy it, absolutely,”; McMackin said after the team returned to Honolulu yesterday. “;Winning's too hard, you have to enjoy it.”;

The clock runs out today when the Warriors (2-3, 1-1 Western Athletic Conference) turn their attention to another set of Bulldogs with Louisiana Tech set to visit Aloha Stadium for Hawaii's homecoming game.

Louisiana Tech (2-2, 0-1 WAC) will have a little extra time to prepare for the Warriors. The Bulldogs played last Wednesday, losing at Boise State 38-3. Bulldogs receiver/kick returner Phillip Livas leads the WAC in all-purpose yardage averaging 163.2 yards per game.

“;You've got to get on to the next game,”; McMackin said. “;We can enjoy it today, but tomorrow we need to move on and build on the good things that happened.”;

With two interceptions against Fresno State, Hawaii safety Keao Monteilh is tied for ninth in the country as the Warriors came away with six takeaways in their 32-29 win at Fresno State.

Power failure causes PPV problems

A power failure in Fresno, Calif., caused the outage that left viewers of the Hawaii-Fresno State football game in the dark for part of the first quarter on Saturday.

Norman Santos, Oceanic Time Warner Cable's vice president of operations, said Oceanic is not planning on a mass refund for pay-per-view subscribers. He said the company will make an assessment of responses today and a replay of the game might be possible.

“;Right at the start of the game it was pure madness,”; said Santos, who estimated about 10,000 individual buys for the game.
