KAMP Hawaii, a program reaching out to at-risk youngsters, honored physical therapist Elroy Chong and George Kamau of the Farrington athletic program for their dedicated service at a fundraiser Thursday at the Willows. Kamp Hawaii was started by Aaron Kamau, George's son. Danny Kaleikini, representing Mayor Mufi Hannemann, presented the Mayor's Award to the honorees. Shannell Ashley Sarme, 18, won the first Miss Lanai title last Saturday and will compete in the 2009 Miss Hawaii Pageant. Shannell is a student at Kapiolani Community College. The event was held at the Four Seasons Manele Bay Resort on Lanai. Tom Roelens, G.M. of the resort and Four Seasons' Lodge at Koele, was one of the judges.
