Among the visitors we can depend on in winter months are the humpback whales that trek annually from the chilly North Pacific to the warm waters of Hawaii to birth and raise their calves, treating our human visitors to a wondrous slice of nature.

An estimated 8,000 to 10,000 humpback whales migrate to Hawaii each winter allowing those on shore to witness their breaching, spouting and water slapping.
