Forum has tips on dealing with aging

Retirement planning, financial management and healthier lifestyles are among topics on the agenda of the 15th Biennial Conference on Aging on Monday and Tuesday at the Hawaii Convention Center.
"Leaving a Legacy: Re-creating Our Work and Life" is the theme of the conference, sponsored by the Hawaii Pacific Gerontological Society every two years.
The event, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each day, will feature keynote addresses by Nancy A. Whitelaw of the National Council on Aging and Sandy Markwood of the National Association of Area Agencies. Also speaking will be Ramsay R.M. Taum of the University of Hawaii-Manoa School of Travel Industry Management and Susan J. Ellis of the Asia Pacific Volunteer Leadership Conference.
Advanced registration is required with a $200 fee for the two-day event. Discounted rates are available for seniors, caregivers and students. Registration forms and a schedule can be downloaded from the HPGS Conference Web site at www.hpgs.org.
