Allen Doane, chairman and chief executive officer, relinquished his title as president to Stanley Kuriyama, who was most recently president and CEO of A&B Land Group, the company's agriculture and real estate arm.
Kuriyama, who joined the company in 1992, will be responsible for day-to-day operations for both the land company and Matson Navigation Co., the state's largest ocean carrier.
The changes are effective Oct. 1.
In addition, James Andrasick, who join-ed A&B in 2000, was appointed Matson's chairman and will continue to oversee Matson Integrated Logistics and its legal and environmental departments.
Matthew Cox, Matson's executive vice president and chief operating officer, was named president, replacing Andrasick. Cox joined Matson in June 2001 as senior vice president and chief financial officer.
Other changes include the appointment of Robert Sasaki as vice chairman of A&B Properties. Sasaki joined A&B in 1965 as a management trainee and became an analyst of the land division two years later.
