Among Chanel's pre-fall 2008 arrivals are a trio of Hawaii exclusive items. Stop by the Ala Moana Center or Waikiki boutiques for a look at a pewter classic metallic calfskin clutch ($1,300) that makes an easy transition from day to night.

Neiman Marcus introduced "Fall's Magnificent 7" trends during an in-store fashion show on Saturday. The event marked the start of the Hawaii store's 10th anniversary celebration. Moopiland at Shasa
Shasa Emporium will be welcoming fall's new arrival and hosting a Moopiland trunk show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, with discounts and gifts with Moopiland purchases of $50 or more.
The local line created by Keiko Knudson started with bright, colorful print dresses and animal character T-shirts, and she's recently branched out into adult T's and accessories.

Ward for weddings
The Wedding Cafe's popular Wednesday Ward Weddings workshop continues 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 27 with "Invitation Showcase and Wedding Registry," in the second-floor Kakaako Conference Room.
Brides, their fiances, MOBs (mother of the bride) and attendants are invited to the weekly events, continuing through Sept. 24, dedicated to everything brides need to know, including hair and makeup, wedding apparel, flowers and centerpieces, photography, cake and wine, party gifts, favors and more.
Brides-to-be will be able to pick up great ideas as well as be treated to special weekly discounts and in-store events by participating Ward merchants.
Wednesday's event will showcase Bliss Design Studio, Creations by You, Emi Ink, Something Blue, Kinohi Designs, Macy's and coordination tips from Weddings by Grace & Mona.
